PRESS RELEASE:

Droitwich Stairlifts is pleased to announce the launch of a new initiative aimed at supporting local businesses across Worcestershire.

Beginning in September 2024, the company is introducing a monthly online competition, in partnership with Droitwich Salt and Churchfields Farm, designed to encourage collaborative working practices and share the gifts that Worcestershire and surrounding areas have to offer.

The initiative invites residents to participate in a caption competition, commenting on a pinned post on the Droitwich Stairlifts Facebook page. Each month, a winner will be selected to receive a carefully curated local gift. The inaugural prize is a Great Taste Gift Box, valued at £17.00, from Droitwich Salt.

Simon, Katy and the team at Droitwich Stairlifts are committed to supporting the local community and hope this competition will highlight the quality and diversity of local products and services. Simon, co-founder of Droitwich Stairlifts, remarked: “We are excited to launch this initiative and look forward to celebrating the exceptional businesses that make our community so unique… and hand over delicious gifts to the winning entrant every month!”

Gillian Kerton, Partner at Droitwich Salt, added: “It's always great to support other local businesses so we're delighted to work with Simon, Katy and the team at Droitwich Stairlifts.”

To participate, simply visit the Droitwich Stairlifts Facebook page: www.facebook.com/droitwichstairlift, find the pinned competition post and leave a

comment. Full terms and conditions for the competition are available on the Droitwich Stairlifts website at www.droitwichstairlifts.com/support-local-competition-t-cs. Good luck!

Whether it’s through supporting local charities, engaging with residents through fun activities, or simply being there for those who need us, we’re committed to giving back to the community that has supported us from the very beginning. The importance of supporting local The Droitwich community is the heart of everything we do. From the moment we opened our doors, Droitwich Stairlifts has been dedicated to offering the best service to local residents, helping to make their homes more accessible. But our commitment is more than just business — we want to actively contribute to the growth and wellbeing of Droitwich and its community. That’s why we’ve always taken pride in supporting local events and initiatives that bring us all together. By sponsoring and participating in community-driven activities, we aim to encourage a sense of belonging and pride within the area. Cue our support of Droitwich Soccer Aid. This annual charity football match, which started as a way to honour a friend battling testicular cancer, has become a key event in the town’s calendar. Since its inception in 2022, the event has raised much-needed funds for various local charities and has brought together people of all ages for a good cause. And we’re proud to be part of this initiative. Supporting Droitwich Soccer Aid aligns perfectly with our values of community support. Whether through sponsorship or raising awareness, we want to ensure that these types of local events continue to thrive. It’s a wonderful example of how people and businesses can come together to create something truly special, all while helping to support those in need. More about the upcoming event here. Will we see you there? Hope so! Ongoing community engagement: the caption competition It’s not just large events like Droitwich Soccer Aid that matter — everyday engagement is just as important. That’s why we launched the “Support Local” caption competition on our Facebook page. This ongoing competition invites our local community to get involved in a fun and creative way, while also promoting the idea of supporting businesses and people in Droitwich. The caption competition has been a huge hit, with locals coming together to share their creativity and connect with each other. It’s a small but significant way for us to foster interaction within the community and encourage people to support local businesses, from big companies to small family-run operations like ours. We encourage everyone to join in the fun by visiting our Facebook page and submitting a caption. Full details and terms and conditions can be found there. By participating, not only are you engaging with a local business, but you’re also contributing to the growing sense of community that makes Droitwich such a wonderful place to live. Local media recognition Our efforts to support local initiatives have not gone unnoticed. The Worcester News, Kidderminster Shuttle, Droitwich Advertiser, and Bromsgrove Advertiser have all featured stories about our involvement in the community, particularly our support for Droitwich Soccer Aid and other local events. We are incredibly grateful for the coverage, which helps highlight the importance of backing local causes and showing up for the people who need it most.
